WEIGHT LOSS

Weight loss is a delicate topic and one that needs to be treated with respect. In my clinical experience, there are many factors that can contribute to someone feeling the need to lose weight and I treat each with the respect it deserves.

Some of the factors that need to be taken into consideration are:

  • Hormone imbalances
  • Illness
  • Insulin resistance/diabetes
  • Poor food choices
  • Not enough exercising
  • Personal reasons such as a pending wedding

DISORDERS / INTOLERANCES

Bloating, migraines, runny noses, itchy skin, irritable bowel, coughs and feeling like crap are symptoms of either a poor immune system or just the body’s way of saying ‘something’s not right’. It’s important not to ignore these symptoms and through awareness and careful management, we can generally identify the triggers that can be causing the problems.

Some common disorders/intolerances that I see on a regular basis are:

  • Lactose intolerances
  • Gluten intolerances
  • Histamine intolerances
  • Food allergies
  • IBS
  • Coeliac disease

ROAD TO WELLNESS

Everyone has there own version of what happiness and wellness is and try as we may we tend to measure ourselves against others.

There is no right or wrong way to reach your goals however from my experience no two journeys are the same. The same goes with our bodies – everyone is different and what diet might work for one person, may not work for you. My goal is to identify the obstacles that might be causing roadblocks to your wellbeing and remove them.

I don’t believe in working against timelines. What I believe in is breaking down goals into realistic milestones and smashing them one by one!

Who am I?

I believe in providing my clients with the tools to empower you to live a healthy and well-balanced lifestyle.

I will take a holistic view of your life and work with you to identify your goals and come up with a realistic plan to reach them. I do not work on timelines as your health is my number one priority.

Each session will be educational as I want you to walk out knowing exactly why I have changed your diet and the rationale behind the supplements suggested. I believe that the more knowledge you have the better equipped you’ll be when it comes to food shopping and choosing the ‘healthier’ meal when dining out.
